Terry is a founder and leader with decades of experience in organizational growth. He earned a BS in Business from UCLA while competing on the varsity golf team, and then got an MS in Healthcare Management from UCLA as well.

After a few years in hospital management, Terry founded Pacificare, an HMO/PPO company. Terry took the company public, led it for more than 20 years, expanded it into 12 states, and sold it to United Healthcare in 2005.

One of Terry’s gifts is hiring leaders and empowering them to spot opportunities and make decisions. It served him throughout his career as a CEO, and it serves him now as a board member with 21C and various other non-profits, particularly those focused on disadvantaged populations.

Terry has been married for 56 years and has three children and 11 grandchildren. He has served various churches through the years as a volunteer, teacher, mentor, and elder board member.
