Peter grew up on the southern slopes of Mt. Kenya in Kirinyaga County. Translated as “the dwelling place of God” in the Kikuyu language, Kirinyaga is a gorgeous place. It grows some of the best arabica coffee on earth.
By trade, Peter is a small-scale farmer here. In his youth, he received Christian discipleship, which he describes as a turning point in his life. He’s pursued Jesus, and his fellow countrymen, ever since.
For 21C, he connects pastors and church leaders all over the region to seminars and Timothy program Bible studies. He also preaches and teaches in local churches.
Peter has been married to his wife, Janet, for nearly 50 years. They have three adult children and five grandchildren.
